Hey guys! I’m posting this at the same time as Patreon. Early update!

Winter is coming, and we’ve got the holidays approaching.  I have so much to do (and I also need to see Star Wars 4 time) so I’m taking a few week’s off for preparations. I’ll be back on January 3rd for Patreon and January 7th for my website.

Eeeee! Ramses and Ares are technically on the same page! They still haven’t met each-other, at least not yet. This sort of stuff get’s me so excited!

Thank you so much guys!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Minor update:

Hey guys. I don’t normally do this. But I got a comment on the site concerning me taking another “Break.” Basically criticizing me not getting my priorities in order, and that I should consider re-budgeting my time. The comment has been removed, but I felt like I wanted to address the criticism.

I love my life and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Allow me to pull back the curtain a little bit. I work full time as a graphic designer. I wear a lot of hats. Sometimes animator, sometimes illustrator, sometimes video editor, it’s extremely rewarding and fulfilling. My priority is to my boss who pays my bills. End of story. That’s how I get food on the table and that’s how I make my rent. And the friendly folks at Patreon are helping me make this comic a self-sustained ecosystem. They’re also helping me with an upcoming project, so stay tuned for that. ^_^

I think I’m very lucky. I work at a job that I love and I have amazing coworkers. I love coming into work every day. Not everyone can say that.

I also have strong ties to my family. We’ve had some tough times, but we’re all very close. We don’t live near by, so visiting is important. Some free time is important to me. To stay connected with the people I love, and spend some quality time with my friends and family.

And last but not at all least, I have my comic. I love working on this project. It has brought me endless amounts of joy and fulfillment. Each page is a new challenge. I’m constantly developing the story, and myself as an artist.

This is not a comic that updates once a week. It just isn’t. Sure, I have some days where I finish early, but mostly it’s a balancing act between work, family, and my webcomic. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is the life I’ve always wanted. I’m so happy. I wish everyone could feel this level of fulfillment in their lives.

I feel like my priorities are in order and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I know sometimes when you’re in the middle or reading something, you want the next thing right now! At the time of this writing, I still have to wait a whole week to see the next Star Wars! (The horror….)

Plus there are times where I’ve felt like I wanted to chain George RR Martin to a space heater to finish Winds of winter… But that’s not how creativity works. That’s called slavery, and it’s illegal…

You’re the only person in your life who knows what makes you happy and how to set the right balance. Do what’s right for you.

Pages will happen, and soon. This is not the end of my comic, but a beginning. But for the time being, I’m spending the holidays with my family.

Have a wonderful winter and a Happy New Year!
I’ll see you and January.
